Desiree Oldwoman, 20, was last seen around 8:20 p.m. on August 27, 2011 at her home on the Siksika First Nation in Alberta, Canada.
She is a vulnerable adult, who was diagnosed on the autism spectrum. Oldwoman is non-verbal, but can write her own name. Authorities believe she may have wandered off. Her family reported her missing the next day.
Siksika First Nation is located a little over an hour east of Calgary. Highway 901 is located near her residence and police believe she may have walked along it during the night or the early morning hours of August 28, 2011.

The last time she was seen she was wearing a brown sweater and black track pants with a red stripe. She was not wearing shoes.
An article in The Calgary Herald from September 27, 2011 describes the initial investigation as a "massive land, aerial and water search." Oldwoman's grandmother was quoted in the same article as saying:
"It's part of her personality; she likes to wander off and explore. When she does that, she doesn't know she's in danger, but she's never wandered off at night."
Over the last 10 years, authorities have continued to field tips and search unsuccessfully.
Desiree Oldwoman was born on December 5, 1990.
Her family describes her as "special, beautiful, wonderfully curious."
She reportedly loves plush animals and is also drawn to perfumes and fragrances such as air fresheners.
